Hey guys,

I filled for removal on Feb25th , I got my biometrics done on 21st of March , my green card expired on May 25th and I have not gotten a letter of extension. What should I do about it? Make an infopass appoiment?!?!

Thanks

Yes. Go ahead and schedule an infopass appointment. Bring your GC, Bio Letter and Passport and ask for the I551 extension stamp. I went ahead and already did it since I'm in the same situation as you, just my GC is still valid until next week.

Good luck.

Yes, it appears that TSC had a problem starting around mid to early February and ending about 2 weeks ago and did not send out any NOA Extension letters for the I-751 petitions even though the on-line status says that they did. The local Immigration offices are well aware of the problem. Make an InfoPass appointment, bring your expired greencard and your unexpired passport (you can bring other documentation verifying proof of delivery, the biometrics letter, etc. but they probably won't ask for it), tell them you have not received an NOA letter, and they will stamp your passport with an I-551 stamp extending your green card status for one year. I got mine stamped about 2 weeks before my card expired - which was the day before yours:-).

Thank you much! I made an appoiment for the 19th and will have it done. I can not believe that I'm walking around with an expired green card! :P
