hello, can someone please tell me what docs (org, certi copies, etc) do i need when i send ds230 at nvc? i will be sending the docs on behalf of my wife, whose in india. do i need to send the pcc? please tell me in list of the docs that r needed. thank you

ok cool so i got the list and basic from what i understand is i would need, her org. copy of the birth cert, marriage cert and passport copies and pcc right? now does she get te birth cert and marriage cert back at the time of interview as they are the original we will be sending in.? also someone has told me i would need her parents birth certs as well, is that true? do i need anything from her family side?

Well, unfortunatelly we didnt get back our originals back and I would not know how it will goes at your embassy, sorry.

Parents' birth certificates? I only need my mom's name changed cerificate to indicate that she 's the same person because in my birth certificate ,my mom used the previous name which was different from the present time. Good luck

I am also confusing about this original's documents, if we give To NVC the original documents ( marriage cert, birth certf, police certificate) , will we get all original docs when interview with consular?

Case complate : August 27th 2008 , Interview date will on Oct 29th 2008

Receive interview mail : Sept 30, 2008

Medical check : Oct 1st 2008 passed

Vaccination : Oct 1st 2008 , OK got 2 shots

My original country is Indonesia, I am living in Hungary , it is difficult for me to get certified copy from the office which issued the papers.

do you know if notarized documents is acceptable?

We didnt get our originals back at the embassy, consular gave us only copies.

Timeline

original documents are kept by issuing authority and they give you certified copies (also refered to as originals). You cant send notarized copies, they must be from the authority where the original documents is housed. The best way is to have them issue 2 of the same document so you will have second one in case of lost or damage. The embassy is supposed to return all originals to you at the time of interview and I would request them at that time. I am not sure why they gave Dani back copies unless they were unaware that is what they were. Just be on the safe side and get 2 of everything for this process, takes to long to get them the 1st time around.
