Most likely not. The K1 is in the passport, so it's not like you can save it to be presented later. It's a one time use only so most likely that one use would happen with the June entry. There might be some tricky begging you could do at POE to say I don't want to use this now, but it would be kinda risky opening that kettle of fish and possibly messing up the whole process.

Edit: We are delaying our interview until after an early July trip to the US for that reason.

Edit: We are delaying our interview until after an early July trip to the US for that reason.

Delaying the interview is a better option. You cannot count on entering without activating the K1 visa. Of course, you also can't 100% count on being allowed entry during the K1 visa process but I would think an interview letter and a good honest story about a business trip would do the trick.

Thanks for the info.

I was asking the embassy before hand. They told me we can go for the interview, and then request the visa to be issued after we are back. I guess we are taking that route. Just means we have to get the passport to the embassy after our trip.

Would have like the other option more!
