USCIS - Last Updated? Online Status

Hi All,

When I look at my case status online, it has a last updated date of yesterday. What does that mean? That it was last updated yesterday? I am waiting for the approval, but not sure if this means anything??

Updated only means that someone looked at your file. If you signed up for email alerts, you will get an email when your case is approved. Otherwise, you will get a notice in the mail.

Sometimes CSC doesn't update the computer. My online status is recieved and pending and we have an interview date already. I got the NOA2 snail mail.

When you are approved it will say "This case is approved" but not give the name. The letter arrives about 5-7 days later. It's that simple.

hi thats called a touch sometimes it means something sometimes it doest but i hope it means approval for u

Hi INCT... as sara said, you've been 'touched'... some would say groped! VSC will scan your file in if it's moved from one location to another. It doesn't have to mean anything...or it could mean anything.

If you look at my sig you can see when we were 'touched'. We filed just a couple days before you and i'm from New England too!
