Hello!

My husband and I just went for the interview, everything went right but the officer said that I have an open file.

Does somebody know what is that?

This is the first time I'm applying and Ihaven't go back to my country(mex) in 2 years.

Today My husband (petitioner) got a letter in the mail saying:

This courtesy notice is to advise youof action taken on this case (they sent the original to our attorney)

The approval of this visa petition does not in itself grant any inmigration status and does not guarantee that the alien beneficiary will subsequently be found elegible for a visa...etc, etc.

Thank you

:(

If the interview was for AOS, why are they talking about issuing a "visa". You should already have been given a visa in order to live in the U.S. Something doesn't sound right here. You probably need to talk this over with your lawyer. He must know what is going on.

Good luck.
