I'm a K-1 and i got married before the 90 days expire... i haven't tried work here yet but now i got bored and i wanted to work but my AED been expired already and I'll file my AOS later on for some reasons. i know that there will be a $340 fee when you file a renewal of your AED, my concern is if a K-1 can renew the AED.

You won't be eligible to get a new EAD until you file your AOS. Your K1 is only valid for 90 days after entry so you will need to file for AOS and then request an EAD associated with your AOS application.

That's correct because EAD is based on I-94's validity date.

If you are bored, you can however volunteer. As long as you are not paid for what you do, that is a legal thing to do.

Look around for associations or charities who might appreciate some help.

The good part is that it creates some contacts that can be useful once you obtain the EAD (count 90 from the time you apply).
