Are there other pinned topics in that forum we can remove for this to take the place. I try to limit pinned topics to 3 if possible. If not, can we get some of the cover letters in MS word format? I will add them to the example forms page :).

Whoa please.

Bree, your request cracked me up totally!

But Ewok, I don't think it's right to do that with something ppl posted in a thread. I don't want mine in the example forms, for example. Certainly not without asking.

Bree, how about if we add it into the DCF Guide? Since it's specific to that gropu, that would be a good way to direct the interested to the thread. We just need to make a point of asking people to contribute their letter contents (tsk on those who haven't! ;) )

Would that be an acceptable compromise? If so, I would add the link like this:

1. - There is an initial “interview” where the USC and the foreign spouse appear to submit the I-130 and its attachments. Some Consulates accept these materials by mail, courier or in person with an appointment or only on specific days. Check the website of your Consulate for tips OR contact them directly to inquire.

For a list of members' cover letters for I-130 and visa applications, please read this thread (and contribute your finished product!): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3445

meauxna,

I hadn't even thought about that, that would be a most convienient place for them after all. I like that idea. When I first came here, venturing in the forms section scared me, if there would have been a cover letter link to boot, things would have been easier to visualize. What each step OF THE first step would have been. Great idea meauxna, asking people to post theirs, real helpful.

Glad you two had a kick outta the way I wrote that, it was just after I had completed the FINAL copy of mine, and a few diffrent ones for my husbands job applications, so I really had Cover Letters on the brain...
