Hiya all.

I received my I-797 (Notice of Action) in April 2006 (the notice date on the document was 18 April) and I know that I have to wait for the second NOA to arrive so that I can send my fiancé (in the UK) his packet (which is identical to mine) along with the affidavit of support.

What worries me is that, I have quit my one job to go back to school, and I am seeking new employment. I know that I have to ask my boss from my last job to give me a letter regarding how long I worked, what I did, etc., and (probably) provide proof of my being a student. Anyway, I would like to know whether those circumstances will prove negative in the end. Since I am still living with my parents, is it ok to ask them to be co-sponsors?

Just would like some input, I was very iffy about starting paperwork for my fiancé to come here, but now that it's gotten to this level, I just hope (if that's not too bad a choice of words) that it doesn't count against us because of my decision to go back to school and find greener pastures employment wise.

I think a letter from your previous employer is meaningless, because the intent is to provide a letter from your current employer!!

Your parents can act as co-sponsors.

You will need a letter from your present employer if you are working. Any past employment will not help, at least that is what I think is correct. I'm sure your parents can be co-sponors and I would be working on making sure you do have a co-sponsor for the I134 you are going to need for his interview.
