Hi my vj family. We went to our local uscis office here in LA, California to follow up my biometrics appointment. And their sweet response was that they cannot do anything about it since it was just over 30 days. We should follow up on them after 90 days since our filing date. They cannot do anything on it since it's with the National Benefit Center already. In short, we wasted our gas, time and money. Info pass is such a waste of time, I think. all we have to do is to wait for our biometrics appointment letter. Hayayayayayay..

Be patient. You just filed less than a month ago. It really was a waste of time, gas and money for you to have gone.

Thats true, you have to remember that the appointment depends on how busy your local office is. you might get a letter early but still have to wait longer for the date assigned. Be patient its still early days.

Sorry to hear that. Did they at least tell you whether or not the biometrics appointment has been set yet?

Hi folks, my daughter and i had our biometrics today and it was very easy and fast. We were both done in 20 min and it was only a 10 mins drive to the APS. I wish the whole process would be that easy

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

All I have to do now is to be really really patient. Besides, I'm already with my husband. And another thing is to think of things to do to keep myself busy.

No updates for me yet but I was looking at May filers and seems that people who got Biometrics on mid May are receiving their EAD notices and official permits within the last week. Hope we start getting June EADs this coming week.

We were touched on biometrics day too, presumably the biometrics appointment itself creates the touch. As far as I know you get a touch anytime someone at USCIS does anything to your file. Looks at it, moves it from one storage room to another, uses it to prop up a crooked desk - whatever.

I think some of us might be finding out soon that our files have been transfered to the California Service Center, if they are still doing that. Apparently because of the backlog some cases are transfered to CSC and approved without an interview - fingers crossed!

That is the way it is suppose to work, but many petitioners do not get any touches. Such is the consistancy at USCIS.

Our last touch was the day after the biometrics.

True, we received an RFE 2 weeks ago and there hadn't been any touches on our case.
