:guides:

Everything you need to know about filing the I-129F is in the K1 Guides here on VJ.

Step by step on what to mail in and how the process works.

It's very simple once you understand it all.

Best of luck.

That and anything considered to be bona fide evidence i.e chat logs, emails, phone calls. Be sure to make a copy of the entire package before you send off to your lawyer. The best of patience and luck throughout your journey together ;)

Your timeline states that you will be sending to VSC and on your original post is states CSC.. It's  can you amend pls? Tks.

If you're paying a lawyer he/she should know all this! That's why you're paying him!

Do as Laura suggested and read the guides. Be sure it is prepared properly or you will get an RFE which will slow the process down for you.

good luck

Wow, that's horrible.

Your current Lawyer should be well aware of what is needed to be sent in (if they have any knowledge on K1 visas in the first place)

I hope it all works out for you!

Hello!

Well what happened was that we hired this lawyer to take care of our documents back in October we paid them and it took them 2 months to put the documents together!

When the USCIS finally got our documents in December, January we received a e-mail saying that our case got cancelled because of insufficient founds! The check got bounced… they never paid the USCIS! Even thought they received a payment of 1700 dollars from me and my fiancé !

I tried to call them send e-mails and they never got back to me or john!

So now we had to get another lawyer and start all over again!

I wish you good luck on your journey!

dang! I hope you're doing something to get that money back and alert the right people so this 'so-called' lawyer can't do this to someone else.

In all honesty, I realize this is a personal choice but you really don't need a lawyer for the process. The guides here and instructions right on the USCIS webiste are very clear. I have heard more legal horror stories than anything when it comes to this process. A sad testament to lawyers!

good luck
