My 10 year reunion....

Mine was the same cliques carried over from high school. Sad, really, but not overly surprising.

The only good thing that came out of it was I got to see my H.S. crush, at which point he told me I looked good. :D I was floating on air because he could only see me as a friend in H.S. Of course he was married at the time (and this was way before I knew my fiance) so it was a moot point, but still made me feel good. :)

Two of my best friends are girls I met in H.S. They're really all I need to carry forward with me from that hell hole. :)

I saw my high school crush (not at the reunion, but out and about around the same time) and he was really fat and lost all his hair. Since I had spent many times daydreaming about him (cue Lionel Ritchie's Hello) writing my name with his surname, I considered it a lucky escape.

I never got invited to mine and lived at the same address.

well that was rude to not have been invited... i say piss on them! better for you LMR to not be there...

i didn't go to my 10 yr reunion... i only went to school with them for 3 years... and was supposed to graduate with honors according to my gpa... but, there was a huge stink with my classmates, because they had been in school together the entire time... and didn't feel an OUTSIDER merited honor grads...

didn't bother me any... but, i was never really friends with anyone except a girl named tammi.. whom when she found out i was marrying a man from morocco, said she could not be associated with anyone from a muslim country...

it hurt... but, i am MOVING ON!

Tho' lovers be lost, love shall not... and death shall have NO dominion!

I come from a pretty conservative southern town - the people I went to school with are all preppy, southern, rich, and conservative. I'm sure they'll LOVE it that I married an immigrant :) Hey...my immigrant is hot as hell and i'm happy!! so they can kiss my butt :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

:lol: we finally had a 20 yr reunion some little time ago  The funniest thing was at the time, I was walking my son to school and the wife of a guy I went out with when I was 16 came running up to me and said " will you please let Steve take you to your reunion cos he won't go alone!!! He will pick you up at 7pm....."....I said sure but I have arranged to go with a few other girls ...so he ended up taking 3 girls to the reunion :lol: I love ya Steve!!! we still are friends all these years later.. :luv:

I had my 20 year HS reunion on 04... It was nice seeing my old friends, like one post said, cliques never changed so the jocks and cheerleaders were together, us band kids, ect.....

It was cool though to stand up to all the kids who intimidated me in H.S. and say hey I look better than you and I actually went far away from this hometown to do it... I grew up in a small, rural, hick coal mining town in central Pennslvania...

I drank alot so be prepared to take a taxi home....

I am here to help, even if it's just to offer my shoulder to cry or vent on... We are all in this together.!

My answers are based on personal experience, not fact.

We are on this rollercoaster ride together holding on for dear life.

wow, i wonder what my ten year reunion will be like. Gosh, I'm always worried that I won't succeed! But I graduated from a pretty tough academic school, we didn't really have "popular" groups, because everyone knew each other. But I know a lot of my friends look down on me because I didn't go Ivy League. Ugh! People! The only time you knew people were mean was during student union elections. Now that was very ugly.

Not really. I always knew there were people older than me.

Well, actually, I didn't realize there were people THAT much older than me.
