Do you use Yahoo? This is the only I use and know, sorry. Well, first you go into your yahool account and go to option then into mail option. choose to create/edit filters, put in the word CRIS. when your case get approved and CRIS send you the e-mail, your cellular will send you an instant message. This is you don't have to keep checking your e-mail or the USCIS website. (But your registerd account in USCIS must be this yahoo account!)

Thanks to hyd671!

I check my status on the USCIS website at least 10 times a day...how many times do you do it?

It was like medicine for me ! It is called patiensosyndrome

My physician prescribed me this medicine to check once after breakfast, second after lunch and the third after dinner

He also adviced me if I check (eat medicine) too many times, not only USCIS web site crashes, but I might get diarrhea too  However, I didn't care diarrhea (but cared USCIS web site crash since my other friends are also needed that)

Is the texting from yahoo free? Only to US mobile phones or can it handle international as well??

Might save me the hassle of checking every day, but then I am afraid I'd get a heart attack at any beeping from a text message!

Also, my doctor told me ehen I reach NVC, since there is no website, my patiensosyndrome will be reduced  Now, I feel much better  Now the problem is busy with paperwork. Previously, after submitting just I-130, you can sit idle. In NVC, it won't work like that

hehe..im crazy like that too!!

wait till you get to the NVC stage... you will be calling almost every single day to hear and update!

Oh my gosh, this is so true. The USCIS process is nothing compared to the NVC. You're going to be amazed to see how many times you call them on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure they could certify it as stalking.

Diana

LOL this is not good news!

I was already telling myself any day now i'll get a request from USCIS to stop overloading their website with my constant checking. And now you say it only gets worse at NVC?

 Me too... Im glad im not alone in this.

Im being living in Sri lanka 12 and 1/2 hrs ahead of USA. So every morning (Night for USA) i check my case status thinking that USCIS has approved my case at the end of their day. :innocent:

Seeing no change in the last updated date i come back to my PC in about two hours later imagining that web page was not loaded properly earlier and so it will be now...

Still no luck...

Then i assume that web pages will be loaded after US time midnight and then i come again around 12.30 p.m. SL time. :bonk:

Having no hope left for today keep hoping for tomorrow (US time) So again check for atleast three times during night thinking USCIS must be busily approving our cases early in their morning

Go to sleep :crying: waking up early morning to check the .....

Hope USCIS will approve our cases before we are too old to see what is on the PC scree...

Am I the only one who checks USCIS only once a day :o

Ok, may be here is the deal, I wake up every day at 3:30 am Indian standard time, to spend time with my husband, and that's around 5:00pm in Indiana, so well I in my head I have this idea that since its 5pm there so they(USCIS peeps) must have completed their day work and left for their home, so there is no need to keep checking every hour, and if I will get any approval I'll get an email alert right?

And once I am at work, I can't breath or do anything else other than work, thank god for that, time do pass by quickly at work :P

So basically time difference is my reasoning of not checking.

Oh, but I do check VJ every other hour  , just refresh the page to see if there has been any news or who all got their approvals
