With what Troll said about those here illegally...I think that even with a mandate it won't fix things b/c of the illegal immigrants issue within the healthcare system. There will still be people using the system and not paying anything which is one of many reasons the prices are so high. And then those who are legal or citizens will be mandated to pay. I don't know, it's all so complex.

Even under private dental care in the in the UK a checkup and filling doesn't cost anything like that much.

I don't know man - the costs are pretty similar. I remember paying well over £400 for

a crown in the UK under private dental care. I paid about $600 here for the same thing

(the total was $1,200 - the insurance covered only 50% because the dentist wasn't a

"preferred provider".)
