oh CONGRATULATIONS on the job you will be great at it. ya your husband is right dont count your chickens before they hatch they say here.( as for counting your hours and money ) for some reason it never adds up to what you figure so it is just be better to wait and be surprised hehehhe. any way good luck oh ya by the way i bought a flag it was 495 php a little over 10 bucks

i know. thats what my husband told me too but i cant hold on my excitement hehehe... i keep counting my hrs haha... i think the flag is a good deal (somewhat pricy for a phil price) but its way cheaper than what i bought from ebay around $20 plus shipping... so good for you plus its made in phil... hahah... hang em proud!

May, from reading your posts. I have not doubt that you will be fine, where ever your care to work. Even if you choose to go back to helping your husband, the worth of that help could be far better than any pay check. For anyone who runs a business with their own family, it can be very rewarding or possibly a double edge sword (30 years experiance at this).

After owning my own retail business in R.I. for decades, there is many things I have learned and continue to learn.

You may find some irate people at your new job as well. Never let them pull you down or let this type of stress accumulate inside you.

American's are curious lot. We stress our selfves out over thing that dont really matter, and some wish to pawn that off on others as well. Let those that must have newest car -biggest house- best vacations- all the toys-or the biggest expectations work as they will.

My point here is stay as you are, fhilipina's I have met are wonderfully nice and relaxed people. Next time an irate person try's to take it out on you, help them but seperate your self from that anger. The key here is " water over a duck back". Dont let an attack accumulate inside you, feel bad for them ( their insides hurt).

thanks for your nice input!!! well said!

i work and help in our retail and boat business as well and im always there to support it... that's why taking paycheck from the business for me is not really a real paycheck lol coz its just our own money evolving hehehe (we just did it to show i have an income and that i can build credit for myself. my husband issues at least $2000-4000 paycheck per month for me) but all goes to my bank account to pay all the bills and everything (not for luxury per se)... but my husband also know that i need to experience the outside and meet real people and be independent of my own for my own advantage... we have 6 employees (im the 7th) in our store but for now they can still manage the store w/ out my help... if they need me, im always there. and we have a store manager and he can boss me around. open big boxes, clean the toilet, clean the clothing area, inventory and bar codes... they know im part of the owner but i stayed humble and not a single word did i tell them i wont do it because its not my job as an "owner" or something... most often than not, if i can i always say yes because as much as i can i want to help "our" business and i also know everyone starts at the bottom to reach to the top (my philosophy)... cleaning toilets or vaccuming the floor wont degrade me at all regardless of what people say. our own employee itself will ask me to do those kind of stuff but i never say a word... but i also have my own dreams... be on my own to see and experience whats out there and be part of the american culture and use it to my advantage so i could put more knowledge to our own business, and for our future plans... working at ace hardware is not as fun but ive learned a lot... earlier they just caught a shoplifter and it was my first experience and i was scared to death lol... but its part of the process on learning whats out there i guess lol i was in the office counting my money when i suddenly heard an emergency call in the radio and that the manager took the shoplifter in the office and asked me to transfer in another room...wow... ive talked and met a bunch of employees whose main concern is how to make their ends meet... to think this is america (its like where am i all these years) perhaps being in college for 7 yrs and not seeing whats out there makes me half a cup empty... back in phil we're not rich, you could say my relatives are and somehow we feel how they look down on us coz we dont have the best clothes or the best furniture... my dad chose to be with us instead of working overseas as a mechanical engineer to make more money (instead he worked as a govt employee serving and driving around higher official just so he could be closer to us)... so i know how it felt like to be look down at... so i always put it not only in my mind but also in my heart to never treat people unequal... regardless if one is a president and one is a peasant... never... people always ask (and im sure most filipinas are being ask this kind of questions too)... how do you like the US or to be specific how do you like colorado... i always answer its nice but its cold and dry... meaning its not perfect... i still love phil... i may live and liking colorado "but" theres always a "BUTT" lol...

its been a long and tiring day and tomorrow is my first day off yippppy lol... night you guys and thanks for all the support... VJ's been good to me and im being humbled by it... :luv:
