My fiance is going to send our packet as soon as he gets my documents.

His question is:

We were reading General Tips on Assembling Applications for Mailing (http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/scnational/index.htm#H - item # 6).

part of it says:

"Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips."

So,

1- should he use tabs folder (see pincture on the attachment)? post-20204-1146799261_thumb.jpg

2- My fiance had stapled the sheets of our history (he printed 6 days of our talking on messenger). Should he use a folder like that or just use clips and put all the documents inside an envelope?

Thank you. :luv::star:

IMO just using two hole punch acco fasteners and tabs would suffice....no necessity for a folder such as the one pictured. Staples are not recommended.

I used a folder that opened like a book with acco fastners on each section then had the 129 and expanded (2) Questions & devorice papers in section 1 5 pages plus the devorce papers (20 pages); 325's and My birth cert in section two and our letters of intent to marry all total 7 pages section 3 proof on how we meet about 10 pages including pictures last section proof of ongoing relationship 5 emails and 6 chats flower recipts etc. may be 20 pages.

What I would do different would be include her Birt cert since I got an RFE requesting it and I would Highlight all the dates on recetpts your names etc. so they do not have to think because in my case they did not and missed alot of stuff in the package they asked for in RFE

We stacked it all neat and tidy and then put a big fat ACCO clip on it all. Put it inside a letter size envelope and then stuffed it inside the USPS Priority Mail Flate Rate envelope.

We did mark the outside of the letter sized envelope with our names and the submission type.

You don't have to send in a book (please don't kill another tree :crying: ) I only sent in 16 pages and used ONEpaperclip. You do not have to send in emails and chat records now - save them for the interview - just send the proof of meeting in the last 2 years - passport pages, airline tickets, boarding passes etc.. Good Luck

Thank you motu!

We are thinking about sending some (6 to be exact) days of our chat records because we don't have sent much letters cause we've been talking everyday. We are sending: passport pages, boarding passes, forms (I-129F and G-325A for me and for my fiance with its attachments), photos (passport style photos and pictures of my fiance and I together when we met in Canada => :luv::luv: ), hotel receipts, our letters of intent and documents from my fiance (the UC) such as bitrh certificate, divorce decree. uh this is what I remember for now heheh.
