Congratulations! This has been a long road.

Oh just a word of advice. When he gets the visa make sure it is the IR1 not the CR1 (I think you have been married longer than 2 years, correct?). If I am right, and you have been married more than 2 years, and they give him the wrong visa, it needs to be corrected there. We were told that they would fix that at the Port of Entry.....yeah right!! They refused, and told him to go back to Casa to fix it. Then it is a nightmare to fix it once he is here.

If I am wrong, and you have been married less than 2 years, then no problem, get his butt here!! lol

My hubby had his interview this morning. He said he had a young, blonde American woman who spoke Arabic. She asked him 10 questions. then took his passport and said he should come back tomorrow to pick up his visa. He didnt get a 221g, but did get a receipt for the passport. NOW, he says he wants to come here right away!

That was so quick, I'm still in shock!

Many deeply felt thanks to our all of well wishers on our long, meandering visa journey! All those good feelings, lots of earnest prayer, (and a letter from Rep. Tom Tancredo to the consulate) paid off, hamdillallah!

More details to come as I get them.

Congratulations and good luck

Thanks for that tip, sis! We've been married more than 3 years, so I'll make sure to pass that info on to him.

congratulations can u plz tell us all the story it s his second interview ?

It's his first interview. I don't know why they want to give him the visa so quickly. We had one red flag, I'm 21 years older than he is, but lots of favorables that may have made the decision easy. We have a lot in common, I've lived in Morocco on and off since childhood, we were very organized, we didn't rush to get a visa (2006-2008), and waited until more than a year after marriage to even file. That may have removed the question of green card abuse and given authorities time to check us out as we perused thru the system. I won't know what they emphasized until I talk more with him about what happened during his interview. He is catching up on lots of missed sleep tonight!
