What are the dates on the two letters? Do they extend your greencard for the same amount of time? Are the case numbers the same? Do either of the case numbers match the biometrics case number? You received a receipt when the case was submitted to TSC. TSC transferred the whole file, including the biographics information to VSC. VSC sent you a receipt acknowledging that they are now working on the file. Consider yourself lucky. Some of us who filed as far back as February to TSC still haven't received even one extension letter. Your file probably didn't have anything done in Texas, which is why it was transferred to VSC - they, at least, appear to be working.
