CRIS update after NOA2

Dear all,

I wonder if there will still be update from CRIS after the release of NOA2, such as update that states that CSC has sent the case to NVC, and update that state that NVC has sent the file to the consulate. Could u pls let me know? I am concerned since our approved petition hasnt been sent to the NVC

You may see touches after approval, in order to know if the case is at NVC you need to phone them and speak to a person. They will inform you with the latest information.

Yes my fiance called NVC this morning and they said they didnt have the file yet. Just wondering if CRIS might give us update email about that. What can the touches after approval mean Sal and Jay?

Im not really sure but imagine its when they are getting them ready for forward to NVC. Every time they touch a file it has to be scanned and this results in the site being updated.

Once you have NOA2, received that email, you won't get anymore from USCIS/CRIS. Once the file leaves the service center, it is only trackable once at the NVC. The NVC does not email, nor does the embassy once they have it. You have to call NVC or the embassy to find out what is going on. But if your file was touched again, it obviously wasn't sent to the NVC yet, that indicates it's still in the hands of USCIS service center.

However, the NVC does send out a letter to the petitioner, but I have read that quite a few people never receive that letter. We got our NOA2 on March 19th via email. The hardcopy NOA2 arrived on March 25th and I then got a letter from the NVC on March 28th.

Ranie and glen, from my experience, we didn't get any update from CRIS after the NOA2, but my fiance got a mail from NVC two weeks after NOA2 and they said that the case has been forwarded to the embassy here and we will hear something from them soon. I remembered my fiance got the mail in Friday and we got the email from US embassy by Monday with my case number. I guess you will hear something from NVC not so long from now.

We got our NOA2 on March 19th via email. The hardcopy NOA2 arrived on March 25th and I then got a letter from the NVC on March 28th.

I wish the same. Man I called NVC this morning, and still they did not have our case yet what about u shawndoc?
