Traveling with AP

Once you have AP (multiple box checked) and travel abroad, and then come back, is there a waiting period for processing before you can travel abroad again? I read somewhere that you get three copies, and the copies get sent to different locations (like the airline and CIS) when you return to the US the first time.

Do you need to get more copies the second time you travel, or are you all set after the first reentry? What I am asking is, can you just leave and come back anytime you want after the first reentry with AP, as long as you are within the AP's validity period?

Thanks!!!

Ok, you get (usually) two copies. Take BOTH copies on the trip with your passport and a copy of the marriage license in case the name on the AP is different than the name on your wifes passport.

When she goes through Immigration at the border on her way back, they will keep one of the copies for the records and give you one back with an entry stamp on it.

The officer told me to make another copy before my next trip because they would keep this copy upon entry and add it to the records as well and she will again keep the original..and so forth.

It is really no big deal, just be prepared to maybe answer some questions and get all documents checked carefully.
