Hi all

After running round like crazy getting all the medical stuff together it looks like I will fail my TB test ( like almost everyone looking at this site )

DO I just have a physical and then they schedule a chest xray or do I have to do it myself?

Also as I will be Out of Status Sunday should I send in the pack and then complete the medical stuff and send it when I get an RFE or just wait ( any clues on time periods for a chest xray and results?) for all my health results and be OOS for a while?

many thanks

A concerned VJ'er

David and I met online December of 2006 and spent a year getting to know each other online and with visits! He proposed to me July 2007 onstage at my Favorite bands (candlebox) concert in Florida .We found out we were expecting a child January 31st sadly due to an ectopic pregnancy we lost the baby and almost lost me as well on February 8th. We then decided to get married if my long and drawn out divorce finalized before David was due to go back on April 13th

Divorced finalized March 20th

3/30/2008 MARRIED !!!!

4/11/2008 I 130 , I 485, 1765 and I131 Mailed to Chicago Lockbox

4/21/2008 first NOA for everything

5/17/2008 RFE for Affidavit of support

5/20/2008 mailed in response to RFE

5/22/2008 Biometrics

6/10/2008 EAD Card production ordered!!!!

I sent out my AOS packet without medical. I received RFE shortly after.

>>DO I just have a physical and then they schedule a chest xray or do I have to do it myself?

It depends on where you go for the physical.

If the facility is a big place, they most likely to have the X-ray room in the same building.

I failed to notify the nurse I had TB vaccine when I was small so the TB test came back positive.

I was sent to the downstairs to the X-ray room on the same day.

>>any clues on time periods for a chest xray and results?

I went back to the CS about a week later to get all the test result, the blood test and x-ray test.

Good luck

When the skin test for my stepson was positive, the CS office immediately took him in for x-ray.... We were had our I-693 within an hour later.... Don't worry about "out of status", give yourself the time to get your application complete

YMMV

On Friday afternoon I came back to show them my failed PPD test (vaccine as a kid as well), and they sent me to a separate diagnostics clinic to take my X-ray; I got my it in my hands by 5pm and the lab sent the results to the civil surgeon directly. I collected the results and the I-693 packet by the following Monday morning, so I was grateful for the quick turnaround -- I hope it's similarly quick for you, too!

04/02/2008 -- Checks cashed! Finally!!

Just had my medical and they passed my PPD so yay to that. Now just have to check everything and complete a cover letter and we are set.

I was in the office at the doctors for a whopping 4 minutes so that works out to $1200 an hour!!!!!!!!! I am in the wrong job I think
