All, We have our I-130 approved ...so YAYYYYY! I just phoned the NVC's automated line and found that and NVC Case number has already been assigned to our case. Now to speed up the process I want to start using James Shortcuts, however I am a little bit nervous. If someone recently has used the James Shortcuts for the NVC process successfully, it would be very helpful to get thru this nervousness for me and for others who are in the same boat as I am. Anyone??

I used them and they have worked great for me (my timeframe is below). I would highly recommend them from personal experience.

Of course, you have to take into account how comfortable you are at generating the barcodes, letters and forms yourself. If you are computer literate, you should be ok. But if you're not, or feel like you're not doing it right, you can ask in this forum and we will try to help you through it.

But make the decision based on how comfortable you feel following the shortcuts after you read them completely.

12/05/05 - Submitted I-130 as LPR

9/20/07 - Became USC

10/03/07 - Submitted I-129

3/4/08 - Sent CSC request to cancel my I-129

3/6/08 - I-130 Approved

NVC

3/14/08 - NVC Assigned Case Number

3/25/08 - DS-3032 & I-864 Bill Generated

3/25/08 - Sent DS-3032 & I-864 Bill (using James' Shortcuts)

3/31/08 - DS-3032 Received in System

3/31/08 - I-864 Generated

3/31/08 - Sent I-864

4/7/08 - I-864 Received in System

4/7/08 - IV Visa Bill Generated

4/12/08 - IV Visa Bill Received

4/15/08 - IV Visa Bill Paid Online!!

Try to read the threads regarding the shortcuts because there have been some small changes to the process. Such as including the name and DOB of the petitioner in the DS-3032 e-mail and also being able to pay the bills online.

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

This is very common questions being asked in VJ Forum. I don't think that anyone is being rejected for using James's Shortcuts probably because NVC uses linear bar codes to scan your case numbers so barcodes scans very easily even if size is little off. :yes:

However, if you are considering sending e-mail to NVC as per James's Shortcut for DS-3032 then you need to be aware that today VJ member badspellor got rejected on E-mail http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=120746 :unsure: But Wiki template for e-mail is updated with new changes as per NVC's suggestions and DS-3032 :thumbs: . So Let's hope that we don't see anymore e-mail rejection for DS-3032 when using James's Shortcuts. :unsure:;)

Anyway, you should read up as much as you can so that you can feel comfortable following the shortcuts.

I know that if you read the instruction correctly it would definately expediate your case faster than waiting for NVC to send the documents. Good luck with the rest of your journey :thumbs:
