I have no doubt that the agenda the powers that be that decided upon will be executed on when the time comes. I'm just sayin' my piece. I enjoy the sensation of pissing into the wind :)

Unfortunately, the person behind you doesn't and has to take their coat to the dry cleaners.

Will anyone object to me making 5 or 6 American Idol threads every day? I really would like to have a daily thread for *each* of the contestants still in the competition.

I wouldn't care.

Really? I thought not doing that was just common message board etiquette.

:P

That wasn't exactly what I had in mind, no.

I do like the idea of a non moderated sub forum, anything should be allowed and the faint hearted who prefer kittens and flowers don't need to visit. It could be interesting.

Y'know...I've heard several good reasons to have a political sub-forum, but I've yet to hear a good reason *not* to have one. Is this a "segregation" thing that's driving opposition? Because VJ is heavily segregated into multiple topic areas, and it makes the boards so much more usable than if everything were in one forum. Or is this, as has been suggested, just a resistance to change?

maybe cuz this is an immigration board, not an OT board?

Then perhaps we should do away with O/T altogether ;)

Sure. I think it would be a great idea.

I don't see what all the fuss is about....If there's a thread with a political title, and you don't wish to participate, then don't open it.......It will move down the page and eventually dissappear.

Frankly, I get annoyed over all those mindless threads that serve no purpose other than to increase one's post count.

Yes - and I recall there was a similar discussion months back about putting them away in some seperate section. And if memory serves one about sexual content. Don't like, don't click.

After thinking about this more, I've decided that I don't think anything should be done. yes, they are annoying, but what would be even more annoying is the 1 grillion 'organizers' moving everything once a whisper of politics is mentioned.
