Photo size: 2x2

Hi everyone, just a heads-up to make sure to send 2x2 photos with your applications. I just got an RFE today requesting 2x2s. (Bummer, since the ones I sent were about 2x1.5). My husband's going to scan one and email it to me and I'll print out the right size and send them ASAP. It would probably be really wise, too, if you keep extra passport sized photos of your SO just in case something like this happens. I really hope it doesn't slow things down much, but, at least now I know that they're looking at my file!

not only do the pictues need to be 2x2 the head needs to be the right size i used these PHOTOGRAPH REQUIREMENTS

All applicants are required to submit photos taken within the last six months of the application date, according to the following instructions:

• Color full-frontal view printed on a white background. Colored or patterned backgrounds are not acceptable.

• Show the applicant facing straight ahead, looking neither down nor to the side, with applicant’s head centered in the frame and applicant’s ears exposed.

• Measure 50 mm square. The applicant’s head (measured from top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) must measure 25 mm to 35 mm; the applicant’s eye level must be 28 mm to 35 mm from the bottom of the photo.

are there any rules about reflections, I can see pinpoints of white light in my eyes from the flash, is this something that I need to get fixed?

It's definitely a good idea to keep some extras of the passport size pics as you will need to send in 2 more pics of the beneficiary in when you send in the ds-230. I'm sending 2 more of each of us with my hubby when he goes to his interview just to be on the safe side also.
