We talk every sunday for atleast two hours and a few times during the week when we get a chance between me working and her college schedule. For phone calls i use onesuite.com. I can call germany for 3 cents a minute. But we IM almost everyday, i have yahoo set up to send all IM's to my cell which has a full keyboard for typing. So she will be on her computer and I have unlimited text on my cell so we can chat a lot. I had one month where I had 2000 text messages.

We generally talk on the phone about twice a day. I'm spoiled to my good mornings  This is his last week in Jordan so we are only talking around 30 to 60 min a day. He's go so many people to say his goodbyes to and so much stuff to get ready before he comes. I'm being good about demanding attention, but I'm really missing my morning time.

wonder if those that "over talk" such as the 4 or 5 times a day and for hours mentioned in this thread might find they have nothing to talk about when they finally can be together in person. There is of course lots of romantic banter during the desperate waiting phase but in many cases it might be just that.

Nope :)

Nick and I don't have that problem at all. When we are "talking" for hours every day, sometimes we are watching movies together, playing on online game (this is what we do together the most) etc. etc.

I feel very lucky in the respect that we've always had stuff to talk about when we are together and it's great. Then there comes the time when we are together and sometimes....words just don't matter for awhile ;)

I love being with him.

Oh I can call my fiance from Chicago for free using my computer with broadband connection. And my computer have a local number which he can call back... we talk everyday ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours, and sometimes it's twice in one day (morning he wakes up and after he gets off from work) If you want to know what software I am using just ask me :) but it can only call very few numbers in the US.

For the people that are experiencing unreasonable wait times... Imagine if all this time spent talking and talking were spent volunteering for political parties, people involved with uscis or DOS, or whoever has connections, getting close and smoozing with people that eventually could make a simple call and get the case taken care of.

We talk 3 time every day for an average of between 2500 and 3000 minutes per month, thanks to Bell Canada's under $30.00 Canada to USA calling plan. Much like Laura and Nick we talk about everything under the sun, we also have our tv programs that we watch together.

I cant belive people love to talk on the phone for such long periods of time everyday!

My girl and I talk every couple days for 1/2 hour to 1 hour. She lives in a small rural village in North east Thailand so no internet only cell phone. We used to SMS each other everyday but now that we are almost to the end of this part of the journey we talk a lot more.
