Hi guys!

Been quite a while since I was on VJ, so hi to anyone/everyone old and new

Well, last time I was here, i'd just had my Interview in London, and although I had consent from my daughters father, to take her to the US, he refused to get it notarised. Well, then he said he would, so I paid a Notary close to where he lived, and he still didn't go and do it. I decided to take it to Court, and the court made the decision that I was allowed to take her . Now I just need to wait for that Court order, send it to the embassy, and hopefully that should be it!

Thanks Dawny! I must say Griff and I are very happy to be together!

Now, what's next for you and your beautiful daughter? Are you waiting on your visas now? I can't believe the long battle you have had to get to this point! Your story should be pinned in the K1 forum for all the whiners who are miffed that their NOA2 within a month!

Hi julez!

Next step for us is to wait for the Court order to arrive, which should be any day now. As soon as I get that, I need to contact SMS and send the court order and Passports to the Embassy. Then we get to wait again, for our Visas to be delivered, and that's it, hopefully!

Will keep you posted as and when anything progresses!

I'm so happy for you and Griff, I really am!

The whining about NOA2's is one of the reasons I haven't posted in a long time, frustrates the heck out of me

Hiya,

Little update. I received the court order I was waiting for on Saturday. Called SMS this morning and apparently they don't collect from where I live, yay!.

I called the extortion line, and they said that for some wierd reason, because I live on The Isle Of Man, SMS will not collect from here because it's not the mainland, but will deliver. Well Boo them!

Anyways, I just sent Mine and my daughters passports to the Embassy this morning by registered mail, as told to do by the very helpful chap on the phone.

Now I get to wait with fingers crossed

It's been such a long long wait, i'm impatient, but i've kinda taught myself not to get my hopes up. I just hope they don't ask me for anything else heh.

Good for you girl, on taking it to court. I'm really impressed that you "fought back" and got permission to take your daughter to the USA.
