Relationship proof attached w/ I-129F petition

Dear all,

My fiance filed the I-129 and NOA1 was issued on Dec 7th 2007.

We sent petition by the help of lawyer. In the I-129F instruction it was told that we had to attach relationship proof. when my fiance brought bunch of our relationship proof to the lawyer (letters, cards, photos), lawyer returned most of them and only attached 2 of our pics along with the petition. He said to my fiance, I should just bring the rest of proof on the interview.

It's been almost four months and We are worried that something wrong happened with our petition. So I want to know what all of you attached as relationship proof when u filed the I-129F petition. I am worried that those 2 pics were not considered sufficient, yet that's what our legal advice did, and that that rest of our -abundant- prood shall be brought on my interview once our case is approved.

Pls give response and advice as to our case!

Many thanks in advance :)

If what the lawyer did submit is not enough evidence, you will get an RFE. No big deal really, just submit what the lawyer didn't submit to begin with.

When I submitted my petition, I only provided some photos, copy of my finacee's and my passport showing entry and exit stamps when we traveled together, some phone bills, Western Union receipts and a two page letter detailing how we met.

The bulk of our evidence of relationship I sent to her to take to the interview.

Have your fiance call the service center handling the petition to check on the status of it, read this link for details:

Many thanks! :) I feel better

Althought I keep wondering if any of you have had RFE sent to you. Pls let me know, how long did it take for USCIS to send u RFE asking for more proof of relationship? Is 3 month wait like what we are having now is normal, with the fact that we're not even sent RFE yet? Indeed we provided plenty evidences yet the lawyer returned most of them!

Folks, I would really appreciate it if you can pls let me know! :)

Cheers

Read the guides...particularly as they concern primary and secondary evidence. What is submitted for your inital I-129F application is only proof that you've met within the last two years. A picture or two might suffice, but if you enclosed copies of tickets, hotel receipts, country stamps in passport etc. These are the evidence you'll need to show that you were in your finance's country, or have met. Airline tickets or boarding passes, credit card receipts...things like this is what is considered proof you have met.

The pictures, cards, letters, chat sessions, phone statements...these are all evidence you'll give your SO for their interview at the Embassy or Consulate in their country to prove an ongoing relationship.

Again, as a previous poster stated, if there is any question from your evidence that has been submitted, you will get an RFE.

You might be lucky, but just having two pictures attached to your application without any of the other things I mentioned, may be a reason for an RFE. You'll just have to sit out and wait this one.

Best of luck!

I submitted two pictures of us together; no receipts, no boarding passes no letters just one line on the I-129 on how we met "I visited Barranquilla and met her from February xx, xx to xx, xx. That's all.

Don't worry too much. When and if you get an RFE then you can deal with it. For now, you can check the dates the service center is working on and worry only when they go past your NOA1 date. Good Luck
