Is the k3 visa no longer an option? So what visa do people file for nowadays?

With the USCIS taking about 4 months to receipt the I-130 petition, filing for a K3 is becoming a moot point anyway unless your Embassy/Consulate takes a much longer time to process the I-130 (CR1/AR1). Canada is a good example of a significant difference in time to schedule an interview between K visas and CR1/AR1 visas.

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

So about how long would it take for a CR1/AR1 visa? Is it much easier than a K3?
