one of my favourite simple lunches is tomato cheese soup....

one can of condensed tomato soup, one can of milk, 1 cup of grated cheese, and basil and oregano to taste.. throw that all in a pot and heat until cheese is melted..

Mmmm, untoasted pop tarts.

I used to eat those back before my metabolism slowed to a crawl (about age 13). My mother didn't buy junk food, so I'd buy sweet cereal and pop tarts and hide them in my closet. One year, I was careless closing the cereal bag and ended up w/ a closet full of ants. I still haven't heard the end of it.

Marilyn, that cheese tomato soup sounds good.

I made this the other day

Cooked some chicken sausage w/pasilla chili, onions, and mushroom and sweet onion pasta sauce. Precooked some penne pasta, then layered the pasta with some of the sauce, cheese, and sour cream. topped with extra cheese, then baked in the oven for about 40 minutes at 375. Next time I think I might try using cream cheese instead of the sour cream, ground chicken instead of the sausage, and an alfredo sauce instead of the red, extra mushrooms......

Shin ramyun is a lot better than the cheap ramen.

My husband and I are currently obsessed with my mom's rice thingy as a side. Take one cup uncooked rice and put it in 1/2 cup oil and heat in skillet till the color of the rice changes (don't fry). Dump off the extra oil then add 2 1/2 cup boiling chicken stock and about 1/2 a small onion (change according to taste). Add parsley, salt and pepper to taste then cover and let sit for 30 min or until all the chicken stock is absorbed. Delicious. It's the one recipe from my mom I can actually make that tastes the way its supposed to :)
