Question about NOA2

I have a question now that I am seeing VSC NOA2's coming back so fast...originally I was concerned about RFE's but now it seems I need to be concerned about NOA2 as well...I plan to travel to Ukraine middle of March to see my fiancee. I plan to be there for 4 to 5 weeks, but I'm concerned that the NOA2 may happen during that timeframe. I read in the K1 guide to send a copy of the original application to my fiancee - that's no problem, I will be bringing it with me to give to her. I will also get my I-134 done before I go see her as well...but what about a copy of the NOA2? How important is it that she has that right away? I don't want to delay the process because I don't have a copy of the NOA2 (which I won't if it happens while I am in UA). According to the K1 flowchart it looks like I have around 3-4 weeks after NOA2 before it leaves NVC and gets to Kiev...so me being in UA from mid March to Mid April probably won't impact things right?

In my case, I didn't need the NOA2 on the interview stage so I believe it won't affect anything if you don't have the original copy with you when you go and see your fiancee...

The best thing to do is to check on your fiancee's consulate and see if they will require the NOA2 hardcopy for her interview. Or better yet, contact fwaguy, a VJ member who went through Kiev for his then fiancee...

Look at the Kiev website for all te information she will need for the interview... Kiev asked for nothing other than what the list of requireds were....

YMMV

They don't require a copy of NOA2 in Kiev. I had it with me but I don't think it mattered. Actually, I was surprised to see the whole file from the NVC at the interview; it had a big stamp saying 'APPROVED' on a top of an original I-129F that my fiance had filed. I didn't know that they send the whole thing to Kiev; I thought it would only b a duplicate of NOA2 or something. Anyway, I think that the copy of NOA2 is the last thing you have to worry about :) .

Good luck, and have a great trip to Ukraine :) !
