Hi all, i live abroad and im having my brother be the joint sponser with me... I was wondering if they will accept copies of ducuments such as the I-864 signed and notarized, W-2 and 1040's.... Will they accept these documents if my brother copied them and sent them to me in a email?

It isn't a good idea. Your brother can sign the I-864 and send it to you. The I-864 doesn't need notarization.

If you check the end of the I-864 form there isn't any place for notarization and the instrucctions don't mention anything related with that.

I agree with the above statement, but in my "things applicants do wrong" information from the Chennai Consulate, it mentions that the I-864 MUST be notarized. It might be up to the individual consulate what they require... :o

Any petition documents such as the I-864 should be originals, others like W-2s and tax returns can be copies.
