VSC I-1751 Status List

Hi Shakysgirl and Everyone,

Lol...first thing is first...Don't torture yourself by looking at the CSC list! You definitely don't need that frustration and ####### to deal with! Yeah, I cringe too, thinking that other side of the country is getting much faster service, even though we paid the same price for the same thing as they did....

As for why the CSC is faster than the VSC, who knows. One can only guess as to what the real reason for the delays might be. Some theories at the moment may include: the VSC being shut down because of a snowstorm, the VSC workers are on their winter holidays skiing on the hills of Vermont, Santa Claus kidnapped some VSC workers to help him make toys for the children instead of using them to make Green Cards, etc.....

Seriously though, I think it boils down to: "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing", "bureaucratic red tape", not enough trained/skilled workers, inefficient workers, too many transferred cases, not prioritizing their caseloads, etc....

Oh well, either way, I hope you and everyone else gets approved for their I-751 cases soon. Good luck on the rest of your immigration journeys too!

No touches since biometrics (not that I expected any). Just tortured myself by sneaking a peek at the CSC list- approvals for people who filed AFTER my husband. Why is the VSC so much crapper than the CSC???

We really can't compare ourselves to CSC but actually since VSC has taken over TSC, then it should move. They already got nealry two months of apps done in one month. We are our own support system and we can't pick on each other.

Hi Gyenigun,

Congratulations, Gyenigun for getting your 10yr Green Card!!!

After such a long 11 months wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you, Gyenigun!

Good luck too on your Citizenship application and the rest of your immigration journey!

Lol...Not sure if there is a "rock start status" membership here on VJ. But if there is such a status, I think Everyone here on VJ are "rock stars", as you all make VJ successful and fun, through the support and help that you all give here!

The long and serious answer: "Ok, I admit, I have a bit of an obession/addiction to VJ, and I constantly check what's going on here on this VSC I-751 Status List and on the I-751 forum. Heck, I even have this I-751 list and forum bookmarked, and check it every so often, that it's become part of my daily routine. Lol...you'd be obsessed too, if you've sent the governement $545, will be waiting for close to a year, and have your immigration status on the line/in jeopardy because of this. And yes, I'll be here on the I-751 list and forums for awhile, as I have a long wait to go still..."

I agree, we can't really compare ourselves to the CSC, as we have our own "support system" here at the VSC. And yes, we all need that "support" here on VJ, especially if we filed at the long-waiting VSC. "GO VSC!!!"

Though I think that the VSC should eventually "catch up" with the CSC, as it doesn't seem fair that there is an inconsistency in wait times between the two centres for the same type of cases.

Lol...this reminds me of some sports team rivalary...VSC vs. CSC.....and by the looks of it, the CSC is winning the "faster service" contest. Oh well, remember: In the end, it's not how fast one gets their 10yr Green Card, as all that matters is that one gets their 10yr Card at all! And yes, we're all in the "game" to "win" the "10yr Green Card prize"!

We really can't compare ourselves to CSC but actually since VSC has taken over TSC, then it should move. They already got nealry two months of apps done in one month. We are our own support system and we can't pick on each other.

Congratulations on the recent approvals!

As you know, I got approved on Dec 15. Since then I got 3 emails, I was touched almost every day and it has been a week... No wonder it takes so long if they spend so much time on one case

But it is better slow than nothing, right?

probably so, and thanks everyone for calming me down i was about to loose it..since i had to provide some sort of ID to my school to be able to register for the next semestre and driver licence and all the other stuff anyways i am so done with Very Slow Center...

before applying for a citizenship i think i am gonna move to west coast or something just not to deal with them again...

Congrats to all who got their approval from VSC recently; your Christmas is going to seem a lot more joyful - I do mean that!

For me I think I have reached the stage where I don't really care anymore if I get approved or not. I love my wife but the longer I remain in the US the more I find myself wishing I was back in Europe. The obsession with the dollar and the disposable way people are treated here increasingly sickens me. I have a good job, have no problem driving on the right and have a wonderful family but I just can't adapt, mentally, to the culture here. I think Linda may want to try Europe but if she doesn't then I have some serious thinking to do.
