HI Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows the restrictions of traveling from the US once you entered it using the K-1?

Do you have to wait till your married to travel outside US? Is it possible once in US with K-1 but before you marry to travel outside US. Just wondering if anyone went though this???

Regards and Congratz to eveyone getting their noaa-2. We are still waiting.

Once you enter the US on a K1 visa you will have to get married within the 90 days.

After marrige you apply for the AOS (Adjustment of status) when you apply for this you can also apply for the AP (Advance parole) this is currently included in the fee of 1010 Dollars.

So you can either leave the US to visit another country with the AP or with the greencard itsself, dont attempt to leave the US without it,you would have to apply for the K3 visa to get back in(in the worst case)

Don't expect to be able to leave the country in less than 3 months MINIMUM (and that's probably wishful thinking).

The K1 visa is a one entry visa (or whatever the correct term is) so you can only enter the US once. after you get married you will have to apply for AOS (green card) and you can also apply for AP which allows you to travel outside the US before you actually get your green card!
