Regarding number 7 on the I-134 Affidavit of Support, could someone please help me with the correct wording if the sponsor is retired, has only been a housewife and is receiving pension and SS benefits? Would simply stating N/A or Retired be sufficient? :help:

I think retired would be the most appropriate choice. Just my $.02, though. Someone else may have run across this situation personally and have a better option for you.

Good luck

Retired is just fine. Do not write N/A. The question is totally applicable and has an answer, "retired".

I thank everyone for their replies. You have all been very helpful! I also have a few other questions regarding number 7. Where it states "(If self-employed, I have attached a copy of my last income tax return or report of commercial rating concern which I certify to be true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. See instructions for nature of evidence of net worth to be submitted.)." Should this be what the gross income is on the income tax? Additionally, should the others be filled in on number 7 even if you have no significant bank account or ownership of personal property as well as for life insurance? For example, would this be filled in with simply $0.00?
