Bingo! McCain is.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Get real, people. Huckabee ain't no conservative. He's a Christian Socialist.

Richard A. Viguerie, the author of Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause called Huckabee's win "bad news" for the Republican Party.

"Mike Huckabee is a Christian socialist. He is a good man, but with a Big Government heart," Viguerie said in a news release late Thursday night. "He is the most liberal of all the Republican presidential candidates on economic issues."

Viguerie said Huckabee is inclined to solve any problem by passing laws or launching another government program. "If you like President George W. Bush, you'll love Mike Huckabee," Viguerie said. "Conservatives in New Hampshire and the other early primary states had better wake up, and make certain the Huckabee victory is confined to the subsidized ethanol fields of Iowa."

Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host and opinion molder, also has criticized Huckabee: "Ladies and gentlemen, Gov. Huckabee, mighty fine man and is a great Christian, is not a conservative, he's just not," Limbaugh said this week.

I wonder why guys like this waste their time and money running, really. There isn't the slightest chance this guy could win a general election.

The United States Constitution never uses the word "God" or makes mention of any religion, drawing its sole authority from "We the People." However, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee thinks it's time to put an end to that.

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."

Changing the constitution? That doesn't sound Conservative to me, regardless of what it's for.
