Woohoo! Isn't it all very exciting now? :D

You have no idea! Oh wait...yes you do. :D

Bonus that there's only 1 DHL package going to Moscow today, so I even know my DHL tracking number. More numbers for me to obsess over is always a good thing. :D

The NVC stage was an absolute treat. Knowing exactly (well guessing exactly!(?)) where your petition was in space and time. Wonderful. I remember it fondly.

Two things floored me: The courtesy, friendliness, and helpfulness of the NVC customer support people, and the speed at which my application was processed. My file arrived at NVC on Thursday, and let for Moscow this morning. I'm still trying to pick myself up off the floor over that.

As I understand it, the DHL tracking trick isn't 100% reliable. It could be that your case had a non-standard reference. I don't know if NVC will give out tracking numbers, maybe is worth a try?

Did you check EXP 28 FEB 2008B? There is a shipment to Guangzhou, they usually go on the B pages for some reason. Shipping ref 9356810562 arrived on 2nd march awaiting clearance.

Ahhh, many thanks! I certainly would have never thought checking for a B side.

As for awaiting clearance, I am pretty sure that GUZ doesn't accept the package until they are ready to open it and send P3, and that can be 3 months later. This is really great to know, because I'll be able to see when they finally accept it and are ready to send P3. I'll also be able to check other dates to see how far behind they are.

Hey guys am on the final stage of gathering all the documents to send to my fiance for her interview but am not sure if i should staple the forms like the DS-156 it has two pages and DS-156k one page and DS-230 part I and part II together four pages and the I-134 has two pages. So is it ok if I staple them or should i just use paper clips? your help is appreciated and thank you in advance.

The thing with the DHL trick is to use the day they said they sent it out in the reference. Since they said they shipped it out the 29th your reference is EXP 29 FEB 2008B. Now DHL doesn't actually pick it up until the next business day, which in your case is today. So it was technically shipped out today which is why you couldn't find it, and there is a shipment to China with that reference number shipped today. This is more accurate that saying "Hmmm maybe NVC meant to say the 28th instead. "
