Well, it's finally done...completely out of my hands for the time being...the application was signed for at 12:31 PM...

Know I'm being impatient (maybe nervous is a better word), but for those who have dealt with the VSC, how long does it usually take to get a NOA1?

7/7/08 - POE

7/11/08 - legal wedding

7/20/08 - AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago Lockbox

11/18/08 - AOS approved!!!

11/25/08 - Received welcome letter...and Green Card!!!

12/21/08 - ceremonial wedding

10/9/10 - Sent I-751 and started the fresh hell that is ROC

10/14/10 - NOA1 for ROC

10/29/10 - received appointment for Biometrics

11/22/10 - Biometrics appointment

Currently: Living blissfully with my Essex lad...

congrats dawn! i hope to get ours sent out tomorrow! kevin's 'stuff' arrived today! i'm so excited and have been putting the monstrosity together since i got home! did you send pictures? i've read where some have and some didn't bother, or so they say...guess i'll be stopping off at wally world and then office depot on my way home from work tomorrow to pick up pics and get to fed ex! i'm SOOOOO excited! haha and it's not even out of my hands yet.

oh and to kind of answer your question... by looking at this: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ge=k1historical i'd say you're looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 days!

I sent five pictures...all of his last two visits...identified on the back and with a sticker on the bag in which I placed each of them (what can I say...OCD?)...I got my pictures taken at the 24-hour Kinko's and then took it to the 24-hour Post Office (at the airport...not like I had to go out of the way for that)...

But I so wanted the application to arrive at VSC before January ended...I was just lucky that Royal Mail and USPS were accomodating for me...now all I'm waiting for is the NOA1 and the ceremonious cashing of the check!!!

Jan. 2004: K1 visa issued ~ April 2004: Got on a plane ~ Nov. 2004: GC in my mucky hands ~ Dec. 2006: Received 10 YR GC

September 2008 - US passport delivered!

Good luck!! Keep the faith through the process - I was so happy and elated when we got our NOA1 and were in the system - now I think I might have begun to reach that "jaded" stage where I just can't wait to get back out of the system :lol:
