We got married yesterday and i have the marriage certificate now.

I wanted to apply for a driver's license today but they said that the law changed and i need first the permanent resident card before doing that, that's horrible because i can't go to work with a car for many months to come, isn't like that?

I want to start to apply for AOS, i read that i have to pay $1010 to apply for AOS and for Application of Employment Authorization (AED, I-765) at the same time, is that right? Who is the recipient of the money order? I read that it's better to make a money order instead of a check because i can track the payment.

Do you have any good advices for me to start with that?

Any kind of information is welcome.

Thanks

The DL depends on the state - FL will give K1 immigrants a license valid for a year after you show only the NOA for the AOS.

i heard that in Michigan you can apply for US driver license by showing them your license from home country (if you have)..somebody replied that in my post before

though double check this information in DMV- Michigan..

you might want to check some details I learned in this AOS application;

IMO it is better to write a check, you usually don't have access to money order records, but, you can always view your paid check on the internet.
