hello fellow VJers,

i hope everyone is having a wonderful day and all is going well :) it has been rough the past couple of days talking with my husband...he is extremely depressed and irritated by the US embassy in cairo and the fact that they told him they would send him the visa in two weeks...when in fact that time has long passed :( i mean what do I tell him? he says he is patient...and would wait a lifetime for me... and i love him for that :) but in reality the distance is getting harder and harder...i wish i could go see him but the problem is that i am in school and have no chance to see him :( i just wish cairo would not do this to me or to anyone here waiting on a visa...it is not fun to see us suffer...it is not fun to put us on days, weeks, months, even years of AP... everytime i contact them they tell me that "the visa is pending the office's final review"...i mean really what does that mean?? maybe i am complaining too early as i realize many of you have been on AP or AR for a long time awaiting visas...but i just miss him and want him here with me :crying: i pray everyday and every night for a miracle that someday i will get an email or pick up the phone and my hubby will say VISA IN HAND inshAllah...but as each day goes by i get more and more upset...it hurts to be so distant for so long...but i know i will make it as well as everyone else waiting here...i just would like to ask for a prayer from each of you and thank you sooo much for your support :) have a great evening :)(L)

whatever it takes...or how my heart breaks...i will be right here waiting for you... 636.gif

I learned a great quote today, "Resolve is willingness to suffer cost." It's so practical and so true. I will pray for you and all of us! I'm also in school and I face the same situation as you with going over there vs. financial funds for the long voyages. (F)

Chin up. Pending final review means you're just about there and although it may be ap it's the final stage of ap. A lot of us were just beginning ap at the stage you're at and were looking at a year or more of a wait so be glad that you only probably have a short while to go. They really should stop giving out estimates of time because people do take them to heart. They told us 1 to 2 months and we've hit the 6 month mark today, but that won't happen to you since you're in "final review".

Hang in there I"m sure I"ll see the visa in hand post from you in a week or so!

***(((HUGS)))***

There isn't much that one can say that will bring relief when facing the dealings with Cairo - I hope that you will find comfort in your SO - you need each other at this time...

Hang in there... (F)(F)

I also agree with Gabi - some chocolate is a good form of therapy, especially dark chocolate with raspberry filling...Hope that you will hear a positive news soon... :luv:

Hang in there. Your time will soon come.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Dear DIllydally,

We are all suffering same as you!!! We are all in the same boat...Some vj'ers have been through much worse than you or I. But waiting is waiting...And my heart goes out for you!

A positive note, if your hubby has been approved and is waiting for final review by the CO, then maybe the visa will be issued soon...

Best of luck to you.

Tina

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

::It’s you...It’s you...Baby it’s you::
