i filed it last night..

then today i get this..

Status: Federal Electronic Return Rejected

The TaxACT Electronic Filing Department has received notice that the Federal electronic return for (me and hubs) was rejected by the Internal Revenue Service on 01/26/2008. Because a State electronic return was transmitted along with this Federal electronic return, the State electronic return has also been rejected. The Federal electronic return was rejected due to the error(s) shown below:

Form/Schedule: Form 1040 - U.S. Individual Income Tax Return

Form Copy: 1

Error Code: 680

Error Description: The Adjusted Gross Income amount or Prior Year PIN for the spouse does not match IRS Records. To correct this error, you will need to do the following: 1) Go back to your return. 2) Choose the Filing Tab (The AGI and Prior Year PIN are located in this section) 3) Continue through to the "E-Filing Options" screen. Your options are Signature or Paperless. 4) Continue through to the SUBMIT button to resubmit your return. You will still receive your refund in the same amount of time no matter which option you choose. PAPERLESS OPTION In order for the IRS to accept your return with this option, you will need the ORIGINAL Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from your 2006 Form 1040, line 37, or Form 1040A, line 21, or Form 1040EZ, line 4. Or you can enter your 5 digit PIN from last year, if you remember it. If you filed a joint return last year, the taxpayer and spouse should both enter the SAME Adjusted Gross Income amount. SIGNATURE OPTION If you do NOT have access to your 2006 AGI or PIN information, you may still e-file, but you MUST use the Signature Option. This option will prompt you to print Form 8453(OL) and mail to the IRS within three business days of receiving your IRS Acknowledgement. If you do not mail Form 8453(OL) to the IRS, IRS may restrict you from using this option in future years. After selecting an E-filing Option, complete the E-file steps. You have not resubmitted your e-filed return until you click 'Submit.'

BUT this here is right!!

Not for me. I love numbers.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
