This is my first attempt at a poll- hope I did this right! The gist of the poll is to gain some perspective on the inclusion of the Affadavit into ones submission, and how many didn't submit one at all.....

I would prefer to not submit one at all because frankly I don't want to burden my neighbors....

Let's hear from you.....

Thanks

I'd interested in seeing your results. We are in waiting mode (Biometrics scheduled for 1/30) and also did not want to bother friends and neighbors, it was more the dragging them to the notary etc. Everyone has a busy life and we felt with strong financials it was not necessary. BUT we also did not submit any photos...I've explained here before. Hubby is a photographer and he is always the one taking the pix (I also hate having my pic taken).

That said...since I got some flack here we've made sure to turn the camera over to people, since then, for some together photo ops  (just in case we get a RFE).

My thoughts on my submittal is along the same lines. I feel that I have very strong, and undeniable evidence that the Affidavit shouldn’t be necessary.

Pictures? I didn't even think of submitting photos....I guess it couldn’t hurt so I throw one photo in the package.

Same here. No affidavit submitted. (we've just mailed the package today) A few friends of ours got their I-751 approved without affidavits and a lawyer told us they have the least weight on evidence. They are a good option in case the evidence you're submitting is poor or weak.

We'll send affidavits, though, if we receive a RFE.

No problem about friends or neighbours writting letters for us. They told us: sure! no problem! But it turned out not so easy to combine schedules and get them to a notary public. So, given the fact that we've been told such letters represent the least weight, we decided to wait and submit them in case we're required further evidence.
