Hi,

I got a little question regarding I-864 we are filing with AOS packet. Is it really advisable to include 3 years of tax returns, or should 1 most recent year be sufficient? I have the income well above 125% of poverty guidelines for the past 3 years, so I don't think it is really necessary to include all 3 years of the tax returns – need to keep it as simple as possible. What is you opinion?

Hi.. you should comply to their required documents - 3 yrs income tax or else they will send you RFE for this matter. You need to fill out the form with the corresponding documents.

The form says you don't have to, as I recall, but we sent them anyway... just in case. Wouldn't hurt.

Special Instructions :All sponsors must submit the following documentation with their I-864:

• A photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of a photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of your complete Federal income tax return for your most recent tax year, or an explanation if it is not submitted. Your W-2s and/or 1099 forms may also be required, see the I-864 instructions for details.

You may also, at your option, submit a photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of your complete Federal income tax returns for your second and third most recent tax years if you believe these additional tax returns may help you establish the ability to maintain your household income at the governing threshold set forth in Form I-864P, Poverty Guidelines.

I only pass 2006 ITR...got no RFE
