Mary had her medical exam today. They told her she had to have the Gardasil. The first shot was $160. She'll get her second shot in a few months. The third shot is due in 6 months tho.

I think we'll have our interview in June or July ......

Have we figured out if all 3 shots are required before the interview?

Oh, and she is going to be 26 in 2 months... they said she needed it. She'd have to be 27 for them to let her pass without it.

I just got my first of the three shots for the Gardasil today. $165 sure is a lot of money for it but there isn't any other choice.

I've read that all 3 shots are required at time of AOS. Could be wrong on that one but I know for sure that as long as she has the first one by the time she goes to the interview.. that she will be fine.

I've refused them with my daughters' pediatrician (they are ages 16 & 13).... I'm going to wait until there's more of a history with this vaccine before I permit it.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I really didn't want to get it but I also didn't want to be stuck in a situation where I'd have to put off my AOS inorder to have all 3 shots.

Southern Canadian- Gardasil is NOT required for AOS. They can't enforce it in the US. They're trying to have it become mandatory and the states that this is happening in are fighting it. There's not enough evidence of long term outcomes and if it really works. That's why we have to get it before we immigrate, because they can make it a condition of immigration, but not mandatory once inside the US.

So, I need all 3 shots before I enter the US?????? Nowwwwww, I'm really confused! I've read many places that it is only needed by the time of AOS.

Oh Lord :crying:

Hi everybody,

I am another woman under 27.. I just turned 26 yesterday actually. And as many of you, I have never even heard about that crazy Gardasil vaccine!! I just got my NOA2 and I am currently in the US with my boyfriend. I am not coming back to France before beginning of May, and I am not planning on getting any of the shots here in the US... I guess it will have to wait that I am in my country. Of course the really important thing to figure out is: Is Gardasil mandatory for the interview for K1 or for the AOS???????

I was so relieved yesterday when I got my approval from USCIS, and tada, here is another pretty big new issue... :bonk:

What the hell do they want??????????

SAD!!!

Southern Canadian- I simply meant that you had to have the first of the set of three shots, not all three shots before you enter the states.
