How long to receive tax transcripts

Hi everyone,

I have just started the K1 visa process and will need to eventually request tax transcripts from the IRS. I'd like to request them after my 2007 tax return is filed. Does anyone know from experience how long it takes to receive the transcripts once they have been requested? Thanks!

7-10 days for a transcript. The official copy including W-2s take longer, about 3 weeks for mine to arrive. Once Tax season starts the transcripts as well as the full return copies may take much longer.

You don't need to get a transcript after you file your 2007 taxes. You can use a copy of the 2007 tax return WITH your W-2 at the interview.
