Assembly of I-129F documentation

Hi all,

Getting ready to submit the I-129F petition this week. Just a general question on packaging. From reading the USCIS website they suggest two hole puching the document on top and securing with ACCO fasteners. Is this what the majority do? Any opinions on using paper clips? USCIS does not mention folders but it seems logical to place the documents in some type of folder if I were not to two-hole punch and fasten.

Thanks, Dave

All I did was put everything in order and use a big clip to clip it all together and then put it in the envelope, you don't want to make it too complicated for them to understand....this is the USCIS we are talking about....lol, no really, some people label things, put everything in a folder, use fasteners, etc... If you look at the Guides at the top of the page I think there is a section on how to put everything together, that might help

I used a couple small binder clips to hold plastic bags with the passport photos onto blank sheets of paper, as well as to section off each G-325A (this probably wasn't really necessary, but as we both had attachments for the form, it made me feel better to sort of clearly define it that way). I had everything two-hole punched at the top and held the entire petition together with an ACCO fastner. I also put tabs along the bottom to help locate specific parts of the petition (I-129F, G-235A Petitioner, G-325A Beneficiary, Supporting Evidence, etc.). And then it was just put in an envelope and shipped to NSC. It was actually very presentable on it's own, so we didn't bother with folders. Besides, a folder would add a whole extra second to the waiting time for approval :P

I used medium size paper clips to keep stuff together

- One for my G-325a

- One for his G-325a

- One for the proof of meeting (and that went into a #10 white envelope which I labeled "Proof Of Meeting")

Good luck!! :star:

OUR COMPLETE TIMELINE
