Well, meeting with the attorney today to update the I-864 (Affidavit of Support) with the tax returns and stuff. I will be going straight to the DHL office to send it off today as well.

I will keep you guys posted as to how quickly they schedule his appointment and how quickly they process the Visa...just for any of you that are waiting to go through that process before.

For those of you that have, is Casa pretty quick to process the visa and passports once all the documents are there. Seems like Egypt is NOT!

We're just hoping they will process everything by the time we get there the first two weeks of March so that he can fly back home with us....INSHALLAH!!!!!

Thank you all for your support.

Just to pass along some info that our attorney gave us....he said it would be helpful to accompany the AOS with pay stubs as well. He said that don't always ask for that but that it is helpful if it's submitted.

This all still seems so surreal. After all this time and heartache, to think that Hicham and I will be apart no more in a month's time. I think I will keep the moment I see him at the Casa airport this time in my mind forever. This is going to be the best trip ever because, inshallah, we won't have to say goodbye ANYMORE!!!! (L)

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hicham was instructed to notify Casa by email once he received the documents which he did last week and still had not heard anything as of yesterday. I emailed Casa this morning that Hicham had all of his documents in hand to deliver to them but had not yet been notified. They responded within AN HOUR and said his appointment is next Tuesday at 2:00pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

INSHALLAH, they do not have to do any additional administrative processing. They indicated that if everything was in order, his Visa could be issued the next day!

Please keep your paws crossed as this could mean Hicham would fly back with us and we can come home together as a family!

I'll keep you posted.

We leave for Morocco on Feb. 28 and will fly back to the States on March 11th. I'm really hoping there is enough time for him to be able to get a ticket on the same flight. I want to be there with him when he goes through his POE. I know I may not be able to be RIGHT there with him, but I know it will put him at ease that I'm there at the airport in case there are problems.

I;m just so nervous because I've heard about other SOs being detained for the likes of 3 hours when going through POE. :(
