Case not found online

I filed my I-751 in mid December and received my receipt dated 12/26/07. However, if I go to check my case online it says my case number is not found in the system. Is this usual? How long does it normally take before I can view the status online?

Thanks!

the number on the NOA doesn't usually work... but the number on the Bio appointment letter usually does...

What if the number on NOA is the same as the number on the bio letter, but still it does not appear online?

I got the bio letter for both my AOS and my EAD, and while my AOS is visible online, my EAD still says:

  • Case Status Retrieval Failed
  • This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
My NOA's for all 3, AOS/EAD/AP are dated 12/05/07, but the AOS receipt number is the only one I can see online. So go figure, right?

Hi Merk,

Quick question, what do you mean that when you added the case number that all info popped up... meaning did you just do an initital quick search on their website without logging in, nothing popped up, so you went into your account and added and wooofffffffff, there it is??

Just curious and heres to a somewhat normal visa journey for you and yours.

Cheers

Yes pretty much that is what happened. I registered and tried to follow on-line and it keep saying I did not have anything. Then I added my # and there I was!

I use https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp I do not know if this is the one your are on but it is what I am using.

Yea, they don't enter the receipt NOA which is kind of weird because that is the letter that extends the GC for a year. When you get the biometrics letter you will see the petition online. Claudeth just had her biometrics yesterday and they already updated the case with that information. Good luck
