Hey guys - as the title says, I sent both packets in together after some internal debate. I hope and pray that both don't get rejected, ssince there's nothing missing from my I-130 packet. BUT since there's a chance that the I-129F may be rejected since the LockBox isn't the 'service center' (I think), I was thinking of another option ...

Does anyone know if it's kosher to send ANOTHER I-129F with proof of filing the I-130 (ie cleared check, etc) without waiting to hear whether the first one was rejected or accepted ... In other words, without knowing whether my current 129F is being honored, I'd have a second one sent to the service center to be safe (so they would potentially have one already rolling and get a second one on top of the first) ...

I would be happy to send a second I-129F so long as they don't get all confused .... I would note in the cover letter that it came to my attention that "I may have made an error in filing so please check if it is already in the system - if not kindly use this new I-129F packet" ... Luckily I had the foresight to have my wife sign multiple copies of the G325A in blue ink ;)

I think I've seen people mention sending a second petition when the first one ran into glitches, regardless of whether it was accepted or rejected, and that having worked out ... please let me know what you guys think

As far as I can tell, you would be breaking new ground doing this. I wouldn't do it myself.

Let me ask you something. If you bought something from a mail order catalog (lets use this example for the sake of the argument) and you sent them your payment via snail mail, but the next day, you noticed that you wrote the check for $10 less than the amount listed for the item. Would you write another check and and explain the error in the cover letter, or would you wait utnil they received your first payment and corresponded with you as to what your next step should be?

If USCIS rejects the whole or part of your application, you will get instructions (i.e. what to do to correct and where to mail) with your rejection notice. Wait and see what happens, don't anticipate anything. That would be the "kosher" thing to do. IMO
