Hi All,

Our interview was approved on Dec 13 07...On that day received email from CRIS stating that welcome letter has been sent....On Dec 18...Card Production has been ordered...The problem is we haven't received either...We have not moved, changed address..nothing..Jan 16 received email from CRIS stating that the post office returned welcome letter said it was undeliverable????? Called USCIS 3 different times and they of course gave me 3 different answers...First said to call post office..which I did...they said if they have mail it will get delivered...Called USCIS again said they would have someone call us back in 45 days to discuss this problem...didn't like that answer so I called back again and this time they said that they would have it sent back out!

Just curious if anybody else has gone through this and/or what did you do and what was the result? Should I do something different that what I have already have done?

Thanks for the help

Angela

Angela, Is your husbands name on the mailbox? I've heard this sometimes is a reason it doesnt get delivered but rather returned.

I say label both of your names this time around so its clear for your mailman. USPS is another gov't agency, what can we expect.

Yeah, that could be the reason too. The SSA mailed my card back in Dec but I never received it so we went back to SSA office yesterday and informed them about it. They asked me if my name is on the mailbox too because if not, the mailman probably thought the letter bearing a different name didn't belong to that mailbox. I thought it's weird since I'm using my husband's last name.

Make an infopass appointment to get the card resent to you.... the 0800 cant do this.... you will be waisting days and days if you wait for them to have it resent.... infopass is the only way to get this sorted...

Kez

Please don't tell me that! Why did the hotline say that they would resend if they can't then? I really can't travel to the office right now and take any time off from work!!!!! :crying:

Sorry but that is how it is..... the mis-info line can not re-send anything, all they can do is send a memo to the center that issues your card and ask for it to be resent.... the memo is send by mail and in most cases it sits in a large pile waiting to be done....

My service request for info on my greencard was replyed to 14 months after I made the call.... by that time I had made an infopass appointment and had filed a I-90 to get a new card issued and had got the new card in the mail....

Make that infopass appointment and get it sorted out...

Kez
