This is kind of odd, but the NVC never officially informed me they had received my fiancee's and my K1 package...but now we have an interview! Just curious is anyone else has a story like ours.

I tried to submit an address change to the NVC for my fiancee on 12/4/07. They sent me an email back stating that they had received my petition but hadn't entered it into their system on 12/17/07. As the days passed and I hadn't heard anything, I sent a follow up email to them on 12/27/08. I then received an email on 1/7/08 stating that my packet had been forwarded on to the US Embassy in Lima. So My fiancee called the US Embassy in Lima and they stated they had already sent our packet out.

So we waited. Finally on 1/11/08 we got suspicious as my fiancee had not received the packet. So we thought maybe they had never updated the address. After she got a hold of the woman in whose house she had stayed for most of last year (in another city), we found out she had the packet. Thus, we had a friend pick up the packet and fax us the papers. Just yesterday we found out my fiancee's interview date is 1/24/08...not leaving much time to finish stuff, but I guess we are happy nonetheless!!!

=) Bring on the interview and my fiancee's visa!!!

Had the same happen to us.

Never heard from NVC. Kept waiting and waiting to hear something and became a little curious as to why no communication. Contacted the NVC only to find out that the package had already been forwarded 2 days earlier to Peru.

I'm curious to know how you're doing a Fiance visa if you guys are already married per your timeline ??

Best of luck for the interview
