We're arguing over the existence of Earls...yet not Bubbas????

Exactly. I know several Bubbas. I have no issue with him perpetuating ignorance about the south, but it can at least be partially accurate. Several southerners I have met:

Cooter

Poony

Jimbo

Jim Bob

Scooter

But I have never met an Earl from the South.

Cooter and Poony! heeheehee

Yeah, I grew up with Poony. Funny guy. The epitome of a hick for sure. Good ole boy.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

It's one of those man conspiracies...do a job kinda poor so they don't have to do it anymore.

:bonk: That's supposed to be a secret!

heh...it was all revealed to me in a "Everyone Loves Raymond" episode :jest:

A little red in the whites and voila instant bannishment from the laundry.

that might actually be an improvement from hubster's method...he's ace at it...

it goes like this... cram 3 loads of laundry into one machine, use about a teaspoon of laundry detergent (don't want to waste it ya know...or waste water for that matter), oh and don't forget to keep socks balled up, then when the machine has stopped, take laundry out (even if some of it hasn't even gotten wet much less washed, shove it in a drier, let the machine stop getting things more wrinkled and then cram everything into a laundry bag....leave laundry bag in hall for several hours until I trip over it. And it's amazing how even though everything didn't get even all the way wet, there will still be wet items in the laundry bag....especially the balled up socks.

He's the master

he'll be pleased to know that someone thinks so....

he sounds like he does my type of laundry! I don't buy anything that needs to be ironed because if it has wrinkles it will keep wrinkles

hubster can still manage to get wrinkles in wrinkle-resistant shirts...

it's a good thing I actually like ironing... I know...I'm a freak! LOL

husband bashing thread???

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

you are a freak! I don't even know how to iron. I had a maid when I lived in Cali (I lived with my uber rich aunt & uncle) anyways she was there every day and she ironed stuff like the sheets and underwear. I had a bf who did that too. He also folded his shirts with his old high school yearbook just like they do in the stores  freak

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

David is so ####### about his laundry, it's ridiculous.

  • Things have to be washed inside out so they don't fade.
  • Don't even THINK about putting any other color in with the whites, not even light beige. (One of his biggest complaints is how his whites are not 'white' anymore.)
  • Most things have to be hung up wet to dry so that they don't 'shrink'. and not on a drying rack. On plastic hangers strewn all over the house.
  • He irons all of his clothes (he stops short of ironing his socks, I think) before they see the inside of the closet.
  • We have his/hers irons because he was unhappy with my Rowenta (!)

Because of that, we each do our own laundry, and only combine when hell freezes over.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

when I was a kid I use to stay the summers with my aunt & uncle and I had to iron sheets, napkins, and handkerchiefs....bizarre!! And I still don't hate it... LOL But I only save irong for clothes these days.

Because of that, we each do our own laundry, and only combine when hell freezes over.

Oh yes, doc.... everything has to coordinate, including outerwear. The man has more coats/jackets than I do. He'll go through 2-3 outfits before he decides what to wear to go to the movies.
